Adhesive Storage and Safety

Storage and Shelf Life

Pails of Epic E-600 are purged at the factory to remove moisture and minimize skinning or curing in the container. If there is a layer of cured adhesive simply remove it with a utility knife and discard. The shelf life of unopened containers is 1 year from the date of manufacture. Epic E-600 is available in 4-gallon and 2-gallon pails.

Epic E-600 Resources, Tips, and Safety Precautions

The E-600 flooring adhesive outperforms standard floor glues but doesn’t require any extraordinary application. Some general tips for applying Moisture Stop include:

  • Understand humidity levels of the area of installation
  • Adhere to recommended acclimation times for specific flooring materials
  • Thoroughly clean and dry surfaces, removing paint, varnish, adhesives residue, finishing compounds, etc.
  • Remove all “cutback” and black mastic adhesives
  • Ensure the installation surface is flat within 3/16 of an inch
  • Adhesives don’t bond well with hard troweled or burnished concrete – etching may be required
